This week pastor Don continues the series on the book of Exodus by looking at Chapter 23 & 24. God instructs His people how to live in society. They were not to bend God's law to serve their own purposes. There will be a cost to keeping God's law and serving Him. God was expecting His people to maintain a sense of holiness, He provides His people with laws to guide and direct them. However, God was not interested in people simply keeping laws, but rather He was interested in the heart of the people. This is highly relevant for us today. God is still seeking a people who will obey Him from the heart. God makes a covenant with His people and while the form make look unusual to us today, the substance is something we can relate to. Are we those who can commit to doing what God asks us, or are we reluctant to commit ourselves to Him?
