This week, pastor Don talks about the role that pride may have played in Job's suffering. Not as a cause of it, but rather that God appears to be dealing with this in Job's life. All throughout Scripture pride is challenged. Through Job's suffering he learns that God is sovereign and He is wise. By this point in the book, we see that something has changed for Job. He may not understand, but He will trust God. Though his suffering has not yet ended, his understanding has shifted, and that has made all the difference. While we too, may not be able to 'trace' God in our suffering, we can come to a point of trust, like Job, and that too, can make all the difference in our lives and in the lives of those we love, who may be going through trials.
