This week, in the series on Judges, pastor Don looks at Ehud: The Unlikely Judge. He considers the many reasons why Ehud would not make the cut as far as a human choice for a judge is concerned. Yet God was able to take the most unlikely of men and use him to secure a victory that would bring 80 years of rest for the children of Israel. Through the oppression of an enemy (Moabites) we see God's purpose fulfilled as He hears His people's cry and sends deliverance through Ehud. Through this deliverance we can also learn that God is pleased to use the weakest of people to secure the greatest of victories.
