This week, pastor Don continues the series in the book of 2 Timothy, focusing on the task of passing on the Gospel message to faithful men who will in turn be able to entrust it to others. In his letter to Timothy, Paul realizes Timothy's natural 'weakness' and so encourages him to focus, not on those things, but on the strength he has 'in Christ'. Although preaching and teaching the Gospel message is not a task for the faint-hearted, it is a great privilege and honour to be chosen by the Lord to carry out this task. Indeed, there may be more 'careers' which carry more glory in the world, but not more satisfaction, knowing this work has eternal rewards.
